Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to jointly pursue opportunities in sovereign data centre infrastructure.
The partnership aims to position a fully indigenous, integrated and sovereign technology stack for high-stakes national infrastructure deployments, highlighting India’s domestic ICT capabilities.
Under the MoU, BEL and C-DAC will collaborate on indigenous design and development, system engineering, integration, testing and production for current and future programmes of strategic importance.
BEL will act as the System Integrator (SI), while C-DAC will serve as the Technology Partner and provide indigenously developed products and solutions.
The MoU was signed by Anoop Kumar Rai, Director (Marketing), BEL, and Magesh Ethirajan, Director General, C-DAC.
Hemavathy M, General Manager (Network & Cyber Security), BEL; Ruchi Pant, General Manager (Technology Planning), BEL; Commodore Sandeep Wadhwa, Executive Director (Corporate & Government Business), C-DAC; and Prashant Dinde, Associate Director, C-DAC Pune, were also present along with other senior officials from both organisations.
The collaboration is aimed at strengthening indigenous technology capabilities and supporting the development of sovereign infrastructure for strategically important programmes.
