AMS strengthens India presence with expanded Pune GCC operations

Strengthening its global footprint, AMS has announced the expansion of its first India-based Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune, underlining the country’s rising role in its worldwide operations. The move comes as the company scales its India workforce to meet growing demand across EMEA, APAC, the Americas, and the UK.

India has become a major GCC hub, hosting over 1,700 centres, with projections reaching around 2,500 by 2030. Organisations are increasingly turning to the country for specialised talent, advanced digital capabilities, and scalable services. AMS’ latest expansion aligns with this trend, positioning India at the centre of its global delivery strategy.

The Pune centre will focus on client services delivery, including RPO sourcing and administration, business intelligence, talent intelligence, analytics-led execution, and digital enablement. It will operate on a 24×5 model to support global clients efficiently.

Pune was selected after evaluating 6 cities, due to its strong talent ecosystem and enterprise environment. The expansion, initiated in 2024, is expected to enhance AMS’ capabilities and deliver integrated workforce solutions to clients worldwide.

Gordon Stuart, CEO, AMS, said, “Our expansion in Pune reflects AMS’ long-term commitment to building India-led global delivery capabilities that support clients across EMEA, APAC, the Americas, and the UK. With the increasing demand for skills-based and AI-enabled hiring, India will remain central to how we build and deliver our services across the world. Our long-term vision for India is that of a critical hub for our global growth journey.”
