Versa Networks has brought Amit Chopra on board as Country Director for India and SAARC, strengthening its regional leadership with an enterprise technology and cybersecurity professional who brings more than 2 decades of industry experience.
Chopra joins the company from Cato Networks, where he served as Country Manager for India and SAARC. During his tenure, he led regional business growth and worked to expand the company’s position in the enterprise networking and cybersecurity markets.
His professional experience spans enterprise technology, networking, cybersecurity, sales, marketing and channel development. Before Cato Networks, Chopra was Regional Director at MongoDB, leading the large strategic accounts business across North and East India, along with the enterprise independent software vendor business nationally.
He has also held leadership roles at CrowdStrike and Palo Alto Networks, building experience across the cybersecurity sector. At Juniper Networks, where he spent nearly 10 years, his responsibilities covered regional sales, partner sales and marketing across India and SAARC.
Earlier in his career, Chopra worked with EMC Corporation, Avaya GlobalConnect and Tata Teleservices, gaining experience in enterprise infrastructure, telecommunications, alliances and channel management.
His appointment comes amid growing enterprise demand for integrated networking and security solutions as organisations manage increasingly distributed IT environments. The convergence of these areas and the adoption of cloud-delivered infrastructure are influencing how businesses approach connectivity and cyber risk.
With experience across both networking and cybersecurity companies, Chopra brings a broad industry perspective to his new role. At Versa Networks, he will focus on regional business development, enterprise customer engagement and market expansion across India and the SAARC region.
The appointment marks another leadership milestone in Chopra’s career across enterprise technology companies operating in the competitive networking and cybersecurity landscape.
