Fresh details about the upcoming Oppo Reno 16 have surfaced online, indicating that the smartphone could be nearing its India launch. The device has now appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, revealing key specifications and performance details ahead of an official announcement.

The listing shows an Oppo smartphone carrying the model number CPH2865, which is believed to be the Indian and global variant of the Oppo Reno 16. According to the benchmark data, the handset is powered by an octa-core chipset featuring a base clock speed of 1.84GHz. The processor configuration includes 1 core running at 2.80GHz, 3 cores at 2.40GHz, and 4 efficiency cores operating at 1.84GHz.

Based on the architecture and configuration, the chipset is expected to be the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The processor is already being used in devices such as the Motorola Edge 70, Vivo T4 Pro, and Realme 15 Pro.

The benchmark listing also reveals that the Oppo Reno 16 could arrive with approximately 10.98GB RAM, which is likely to be marketed as 12GB RAM. The smartphone is further listed with an Adreno 722 GPU and Android 16 operating system. It is expected to run ColorOS 16 on top.

In terms of performance, the device recorded a single-core score of 1,240 and a multi-core score of 3,994 on Geekbench 6.7.1 for Android AArch64.

For comparison, the Motorola Edge 70, which features the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, achieved benchmark scores of 1,296 in single-core testing and 3,919 in multi-core testing.

While Oppo has not officially confirmed the India launch date, the latest benchmark appearance suggests that the Oppo Reno 16 could make its debut in the country soon. The smartphone was previously launched in China last month, and more details regarding its global rollout are expected in the coming weeks.
