During a review meeting, senior police officials discussed measures to enhance law enforcement, improve traffic management and ensure effective responses to seasonal challenges. Special emphasis was placed on tackling the growing threat of cybercrime through stronger monitoring, awareness initiatives and coordinated enforcement efforts.
Road safety also emerged as a major focus area. Officials reviewed strategies aimed at reducing accidents, improving traffic regulation and enhancing commuter safety across the region. The department is expected to strengthen enforcement measures while promoting safer driving practices and better traffic management systems.
With the monsoon season approaching, authorities are also preparing to address challenges such as waterlogging, traffic congestion and emergency response requirements. Plans include coordination with relevant departments to identify vulnerable locations, improve preparedness and minimise disruptions during heavy rainfall.
Police officials highlighted the importance of technology-driven and citizen-centric policing, with efforts focused on delivering efficient services, building public trust and ensuring quick responses to emerging issues. Cybersecurity, traffic management and disaster preparedness are expected to remain central to the department’s operational strategy.
