Motorola Edge 2026 arrives with compact display and advanced AI features

Strengthening its presence in the premium mid-range smartphone segment, Motorola has officially introduced the Edge 2026 in North America, bringing a refreshed design, advanced camera capabilities and AI-powered experiences.

The new smartphone features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution and peak brightness of up to 5,200 nits. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while the device carries IP68 and IP69 ratings along with MIL-STD-810H certification for enhanced durability.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7450 chipset, the Motorola Edge 2026 comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone runs Android 16 and is expected to receive 3 major Android OS upgrades. It also supports AI experiences through Moto AI, Google Gemini and Perplexity, alongside features such as Circle to Search and Smart Connect.

On the camera front, the device is equipped with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera that also supports macro photography, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, users get a 50MP front-facing camera. AI-powered imaging tools are included to improve photo quality and capture moving subjects more effectively.

The smartphone houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 60W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Motorola claims the fast-charging technology can deliver enough power for a full day of use in just a few minutes.

Motorola has priced the Edge 2026 at $599.99 in the US. The device will go on sale from June 11 and will be available through Motorola, Best Buy and select carrier partners. The smartphone will be offered in a Pantone Martini Olive finish.

The launch highlights Motorola’s focus on combining AI capabilities, premium durability and advanced camera technology in a more compact smartphone form factor.
