In her new role, Lakhwinder will lead the strategy, development, and optimization of Bajaj Auto’s real estate assets, including corporate offices and manufacturing facilities. She will oversee facility operations, infrastructure expansions, sustainability initiatives, regulatory compliance, capital projects, stakeholder management, and workplace modernization programs. Her responsibilities also include driving financial planning, cost governance, and the adoption of green building and energy-efficient solutions across the organization.

Before joining Bajaj Auto, Lakhwinder spent more than 11 years with Cummins India, most recently serving as India Region Facility and Real Estate Leader. During her tenure, she managed integrated facility operations across the country, leading large office campuses, refurbishment projects, workplace modernization programs, and strategic real estate developments.

She successfully delivered major capital projects, including infrastructure upgrades, office expansions, and workplace transformation initiatives, while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements. Her experience also included business continuity planning, lease negotiations, real estate strategy, and multi-location facility management.

Earlier at Cummins India, she held leadership positions as Deputy General Manager – Facilities and Executive Manager – Facilities, contributing significantly to operational efficiency, cost optimization, and infrastructure development.

Prior to her manufacturing sector experience, Lakhwinder worked as Operations and HR Head at Lakshya Forum for Competitions Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Mahesh Tutorials. She led expansion projects across North India, overseeing infrastructure development, procurement, budgeting, vendor management, operational planning, and logistics.

Lakhwinder began her professional career as a Major in the Indian Army, where she gained extensive experience in operational planning, resource management, intelligence systems, project execution, and team leadership. Her military background laid the foundation for her expertise in strategic planning, crisis management, and operational excellence.

She holds an Executive MBA in General Management from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Human Resources) from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.

Her appointment comes as Bajaj Auto continues to strengthen its infrastructure capabilities and support its long-term global growth strategy.
