BASF plans dual hubs in Hyderabad to boost global services and digital operations

Strengthening its global operations, BASF has announced plans to establish 2 new hubs in Hyderabad, focusing on service delivery and digital capabilities. The move reflects the growing importance of India as a centre for global capability operations.

The company confirmed that it will set up a global service hub and a digital hub by 2026. These will function under 2 separate legal entities. One entity will handle finance and HR services, while the other will focus on digital expertise.

A Letter of Intent (LoI) for the project was presented to Telangana IT Minister D Sridhar Babu. The development highlights Hyderabad’s rising position as a preferred destination for global capability centres (GCCs).

Officials noted that more than 75 GCCs were established in the city last year, showing strong momentum. The state government aims to build on this growth. Minister Babu stated that the goal is to attract over 100 new GCCs and create more than 100000 jobs every year.

This initiative underlines Hyderabad’s expanding role in the global business and technology ecosystem, as more companies choose the city for strategic operations and digital transformation efforts.
