This shift highlights Atlassian’s focus on treating AI as a cultural transformation alongside a technological evolution. In her new mandate, Prabhakar will unify the People function with Atlassian Customer Engineering. This internal group supports engineering, data science, research insights, customer technology support, and key strategic initiatives.
Her role will center on unlocking employee potential by combining cultural change with technology enablement. The focus includes driving experimentation, embedding AI into daily workflows, and ensuring responsible adoption of technology along with continuous skills development.
Before this expanded role, Prabhakar served as Chief People Officer at Atlassian, where she led the global people strategy. Over nearly 7 years at the company, she held several leadership roles including SVP, Global Head of Talent & HR, Vice President, and Senior Director – Head of HR Asia Pacific & Global M&A Lead. During this time, she played a key role in scaling talent strategy and supporting global growth.
Prior to joining Atlassian, Prabhakar worked at Fuji Xerox Australia, leading HR business partnering and transformation initiatives. She also held the role of HR Manager at British Airways across Asia Pacific, Middle East & Central Asia, where she drove large-scale HR transformation and organizational change.
Earlier in her career, Prabhakar worked with Genpact and GE Capital, contributing to talent acquisition, workforce planning, and HR transformation. These roles helped build her foundation in strategic HR leadership and business partnering.
