Xiaomi 17T leaks reveal chipset, RAM and AI performance ahead of expected debut

A new development suggests that Xiaomi is preparing to expand its smartphone portfolio with sub-flagship models after launching the Xiaomi 17 series earlier this year in India and global markets. The upcoming lineup is expected to include the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, although the company has not officially confirmed these devices yet.

Recent benchmark listings have now revealed key details about the standard model. A smartphone with model number 2602DPT53G, believed to be the Xiaomi 17T, has appeared on the Geekbench AI database, as spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav.

The listing shows that the device is powered by a MediaTek processor with a prime core clocked at 3.40GHz, 3 performance cores at 3.20GHz, and 4 efficiency cores at 2.20GHz. It also features a Mali-G720 MC8 GPU for graphics performance. Based on these specifications, the chipset is expected to be the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 SoC, which also powers devices like the Oppo K15 Pro, iQOO Z11 5G, and Motorola Edge 70 Pro.

The benchmark data indicates 11.09GB of RAM, which is likely to be marketed as 12GB. The smartphone is listed with Android 16, possibly running Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3.

In Geekbench AI 1.7.0 tests for Android AArch64 (CPU), the device scored 777 in single precision and 858 in half precision. These scores reflect its AI processing capabilities, including handling multiple AI workloads. It also recorded 1,160 points in the quantised test, which measures overall AI efficiency.

The Xiaomi 17T series has already appeared on certification platforms such as IMDA and NBTC, suggesting that the launch may happen soon. Reports indicate that both the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro are currently in development, with the Pro variant expected to deliver higher-end specifications.

Earlier leaks have also hinted that the Xiaomi 17T series could launch in India by the end of April or early May.
