The Vivo V80 Lite 5G could be headed for an India launch soon, with a leaked marketing poster offering an early look at the smartphone’s design and colour options. The handset was recently listed on the Google Play Console’s supported devices database, suggesting that Vivo may be preparing to introduce it as the successor to the Vivo V70 Lite 5G, which launched in select global markets in June.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G design and expected specifications
Tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz) shared an alleged marketing poster showing the unreleased smartphone. The Vivo V80 Lite 5G appears to feature a curved display and a slim metal frame. It is also shown with a hole-punch cutout that could house the selfie camera.
The leaked poster shows the phone in blue and white colour options. A smartphone retailer based in Shajpur, Madhya Pradesh, also shared the same poster on Instagram, adding to speculation about an upcoming India launch. However, Vivo has not officially confirmed the handset’s debut in the country.
The tipster claims the Vivo V80 Lite 5G could be a rebranded version of the Vivo S2, which launched in India on August 6 at a starting price of Rs. 39,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
The Vivo S2 features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 1,260 x 2,800-pixel resolution, up to a 120Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and 449 ppi pixel density.
It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone has a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. It also packs a 7,050mAh battery with 44W wired fast charging support.
