Tesla is scaling its charging and service infrastructure in India as it deepens its presence beyond the initial markets it entered less than a year ago.
The company currently operates 5 Supercharger stations, with locations selected based on customer usage and lifestyle patterns. Its latest addition is a Supercharger at Nexus Seawoods in Navi Mumbai.
As part of its next phase, Tesla plans to build Supercharger corridors along key highways connecting major cities including Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The expansion will also include destination charging infrastructure within these urban centres.
Tesla has enabled home charging installation across 28 states, further strengthening its ecosystem for EV users.
“Charging is a very important part of the ecosystem that we are building here,” said Sharad Agarwal. “In the coming months, you will see that we will connect the major cities in this country with our Supercharger and charging network.”
The expansion reflects Tesla’s focus on building a robust EV infrastructure backbone as it scales operations in India.
