SRM Technologies has appointed Dr. Anantharaman Prakash as Chief Technology Officer – Mobility Business. In his new role, he will lead the company’s technology strategy for its mobility business, leveraging his expertise in automotive technology, engineering, innovation, research, and program management to drive the development of next-generation mobility solutions.
With nearly 3 decades of experience in the global automotive and engineering industry, Dr. Prakash has led research, product development, advanced engineering, and mobility transformation initiatives across leading automotive companies. His appointment highlights SRM Technologies’ focus on strengthening its engineering capabilities and delivering intelligent, future-ready mobility solutions for customers worldwide.
Before joining SRM Technologies, Dr. Prakash served as Vice President – Research & Advanced Engineering, Innovation, Platforms & Modules, and After Sales at Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India. There, he led global R&D, innovation, and program management initiatives for ICE, Hybrid, and Electric Vehicle (EV) platforms. He also established global innovation ecosystems connecting startups, academia, and industry while driving localization, engineering transformation, technology incubation, and Centers of Excellence in AI/ML, ADAS, connectivity, and battery technologies.
Earlier, he was Director – Product Engineering & Customization Engineering at Ford Technology Services India, where he led product engineering, connected vehicle development, technology partnerships, and established Ford’s global modification center in India.
Prior to Ford, Dr. Prakash spent more than 15 years with Toyota Kirloskar Motor India and Toyota Technical Centre Asia Pacific, leading vehicle engineering, product planning, localization, and global engineering programs across more than 20 countries. During this period, he contributed to the development of innovative vehicle solutions, including the award-winning “Easy Seat” concept, while also supporting customization and motorsports businesses.
In addition to his technical expertise, Dr. Prakash has completed Marketing Management studies at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, further enhancing his strategic business and leadership capabilities.
