In his new role, Rasesh will work closely with the company’s leadership on financial strategy, business planning, performance management, and strategic financial decision-making as Sony Pictures Networks India continues to expand its presence in the media and entertainment industry.
Rasesh brings extensive experience across media, entertainment, telecom, financial planning, treasury, business strategy, and performance management.
Prior to joining Sony Pictures Networks India, he served as Head – Strategy & Operations, Entertainment at JioStar India. As part of the CEO’s office, he played a key role in shaping business strategy for the entertainment business across both linear and digital platforms.
Before JioStar, Rasesh spent nearly 13 years with Star India as Vice President – Planning & Treasury. During his tenure, he was responsible for financial planning, budgeting, deal evaluation, vendor assessment, management reporting, and providing financial support for major business decisions.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Etisalat DB Telecom as Senior Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis. As part of the founding finance team, he contributed to the completion of Etisalat UAE’s investment transaction in India.
Rasesh began his professional journey with Bharti Airtel, where he worked across revenue assurance, pricing, and business planning for the Maharashtra and Goa circle. His early career experience helped build a strong foundation in financial analysis, revenue management, business planning, and telecom finance.
With deep expertise in financial planning, treasury, strategy, business operations, and performance management, Rasesh brings valuable leadership experience to Sony Pictures Networks India as the company continues to focus on growth and operational excellence.
