In his new role, Vishal will lead product development and formulation R&D initiatives, focusing on innovation, scientific excellence, and development strategies. His appointment reflects Sandoz India’s commitment to advancing high-quality pharmaceutical products, accelerating development timelines, and strengthening research capabilities.
Vishal joins Sandoz India after a 16-year career with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he held a series of leadership positions in formulation research and development.
Most recently, he served as Tech Lead, Formulation R&D, leading teams responsible for developing products for major global markets including the United States, Europe, China, Canada, Brazil, and India.
During his tenure, he played a key role in the development and commercialization of a broad range of pharmaceutical products, including oral solid dosage formulations, differentiated products, nasal delivery systems, injectable therapies, drug-device combination products, and proprietary formulations.
His experience includes leading multidisciplinary scientific teams, implementing Quality by Design methodologies, managing scale-up and technology transfer activities, and supporting regulatory submissions across highly regulated markets.
Earlier, Vishal held leadership roles in differentiated formulation R&D, working extensively on nasal sprays, parenteral products, autoinjector devices, depot injections, and proprietary drug-delivery technologies. He also contributed to the development of complex generics and innovative formulation strategies, building expertise in formulation science, drug delivery systems, product lifecycle management, and technical project leadership.
Vishal began his professional journey with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories as a Technical Trainee in 2010 and progressed through multiple scientific and leadership positions. Over the years, he gained experience in product development, formulation innovation, process optimization, regulatory support, scale-up activities, and cross-functional collaboration.
With more than 16 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and development, Vishal brings deep expertise in formulation sciences, drug delivery technologies, global regulatory requirements, and product development. His leadership is expected to support Sandoz India’s continued focus on innovation, scientific advancement, and growth in global pharmaceutical markets.
