Agritech company Salam Kisan, part of the PRYM Group, is set to launch more than 100 agri-drone hubs across India in the first phase of its expansion aimed at bringing smart farming technologies to rural regions.
The hubs will provide AI-powered agricultural solutions including precision spraying and pest detection services. The company is building on its operations in Maharashtra, where it has already supported nearly 500,000 farmers and covered around 250,000 acres through drone-based farming services.
Salam Kisan is also promoting a franchise-based model for entrepreneurs interested in joining the agri-drone ecosystem. The franchise investment starts at ₹22 lakh for 2 drones and can go up to ₹1 crore for a fleet of 20 drones.
The packages include certified drones, pilot training, and access to the company’s digital farming platform.
Alongside the expansion, the company’s Sarathi training program is helping rural youth become licensed drone entrepreneurs. According to the company, trained operators can potentially earn up to ₹15 lakh annually, with the investment recovery period estimated at under 2 years.
The initiative is focused on modernising Indian agriculture while also creating new rural employment and income opportunities through technology and skill development.
