Redmi appears to be preparing the standard Redmi K100 after introducing the Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max. A tipster has shared key details about the upcoming smartphone, suggesting that it could focus heavily on battery life and performance.
The Redmi K100 is reportedly being tested with a 10,000mAh battery, along with an ultra-high refresh-rate display that could exceed 165Hz. The phone may also feature a chipset with 2 prime cores, symmetrical dual speakers, a relatively large haptic motor and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint reader. An IP68 rating for dust and water resistance is also expected.
The leaked specifications point towards a device designed with gaming in mind. The chipset mentioned by the source could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 5 V, reportedly clocked at 4.6GHz. However, more concrete details about the K100’s hardware are still awaited.
This is the first reported information about the Redmi K100. The Redmi K100 Pro is positioned close to the K100 Pro Max, which comes with a higher-end octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
The Redmi K100 Pro features a 6.59-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate. Its display also carries HDR10+ and Dolby Vision certification.
For photography, the Redmi K100 Pro has a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 32-megapixel front camera handles selfies.
The smartphone is powered by an 8,580mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It measures 157.49 x 75.25 x 8.55mm and weighs 218g.
