EdgePoint Towers Sdn Bhd, a key player in the ASEAN telecommunications infrastructure landscape, has officially announced the appointment of Ravin Vickneswaran as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Ravin, who joined the company in 2021, brings a wealth of experience, having worked for over 25 years in both local and global telecommunications sectors.
In his new role, Ravin will oversee a variety of key functions, including Engineering & Implementation, Property & Permitting, and Operations & Maintenance. His leadership will guide teams in enhancing customer experiences, optimizing service offerings, ensuring the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, and strengthening partnerships. Furthermore, Ravin will continue to lead EdgePoint’s Innovations team, further advancing the company’s vision.
Ravin emphasized, “As Malaysia speeds up its 5G deployment, EdgePoint Towers remains focused on providing future-ready infrastructure that ensures smooth connectivity. Ravin’s career has seen him hold prestigious roles such as Vice President of In-Building Coverage and Innovation at EdgePoint, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s IBC and small cells portfolio. Before his tenure at EdgePoint, Ravin held senior roles with major telecom companies in Malaysia and Myanmar, including Head of 5G Enterprise Business at Celcom Axiata and Director of APAC Operations at Flexenclosure AB.
As EdgePoint continues to innovate, Ravin’s leadership will be vital in strengthening the company’s position as a key provider of digital infrastructure in Malaysia.
