Passengers travelling through KSR Bengaluru City railway station can now use a new electric buggy service introduced by Rapido to make movement inside the station easier and faster. The service, called Buggy-to-Boarding, is aimed at helping commuters carrying heavy luggage, rushing for trains or avoiding long walks to the station exit.
The electric buggy rides have been operational for nearly 1 month and are currently available at KSR Bengaluru City railway station. The service is priced at ₹12 per seat.
Rapido has also linked the buggy service with its auto and cab booking platform. Passengers booking a Rapido auto or cab from the station will have the buggy fare waived, allowing them to reach the pickup point without any additional cost.
Along with the transport service, Rapido has introduced an air-conditioned lounge where passengers can wait comfortably before their ride arrives. Staff members are also available at the station to assist travellers with luggage handling and directions.
At present, these facilities are limited to KSR Bengaluru City railway station. However, Rapido has already installed booking kiosks at other railway stations and is planning to expand the service to more locations in the future.
The move reflects the growing use of electric mobility and tech-enabled transport solutions to improve passenger convenience at busy railway hubs.
