Poco is preparing to expand its M series in India with a new 5G smartphone. The company has confirmed that the Poco M8x 5G will launch in the country soon, while a dedicated microsite has already revealed key details about its design and availability.
Poco M8x 5G India launch teased
The upcoming smartphone will be sold in India through Flipkart, according to the microsite. The handset is shown with a textured flat rear panel and a square-shaped camera module positioned in the top-left corner.
The Poco M8x 5G appears in a green finish, while its frame and camera module feature a golden hue. The phone may include a dual rear camera setup with an LED flash. Poco branding is placed at the bottom of the rear panel, while the power button and volume controls are located on the right side.
The company has not yet revealed the exact launch date, specifications, features or pricing of the Poco M8x 5G. More details are expected to be announced in the coming days.
The announcement comes shortly after the launch of the Poco M8 Power in India. The smartphone starts at Rs. 24,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The Poco M8 Power features a 6.83-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 1,080 x 2,396-pixel resolution, up to a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1,800 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The phone has a 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. It also packs an 8,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging.
