The growing demand for advanced satellite infrastructure is attracting significant investor interest, with space technology startup Northwood Space raising $375 million in its latest funding round. The Series C investment values the company at $2 billion and was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and DFJ Growth.
Founded in 2022, Northwood Space develops antennas, software and other technologies designed to improve communication between satellites and Earth. The company is led by CEO and co-founder Bridgit Mendler, a former actress who transitioned into the space technology sector.
The latest funding comes just months after the company secured $100 million in a Series B round in January 2026, which was also co-led by Andreessen Horowitz. Alongside that funding, Northwood had secured a contract worth nearly $50 million with the US Space Force to upgrade the country’s satellite control network.
The Series C round also includes a financial agreement with HSBC. Northwood plans to use the combined funding and financial support to expand its operations, recruit additional talent and meet its existing contractual commitments.
The latest investment marks another major funding milestone for the company as it works to scale its satellite communication infrastructure and strengthen its presence in the growing space technology sector.
