New York Public Radio strengthens people leadership with appointment of Ruchika Sharma as Chief People Officer

In her new role, Ruchika will lead the organization’s people strategy with a focus on culture development, leadership capability, and modern talent systems to support the evolving needs of a content-driven media organization.

Before joining New York Public Radio, Ruchika served as Chief People Officer at Achievement First, where she led the people function for a multi-state organization with more than 2,500 employees. During her tenure, she played a key role in transforming HR operations by aligning organizational strategy, leadership, and workforce structures to improve long-term performance and effectiveness.

Earlier, she worked as Chief People Officer at Universal Standard, partnering closely with the CEO to strengthen organizational design, leadership alignment, and talent strategy during a major growth phase.

Ruchika also held leadership responsibilities at Amazon Web Services, where she led global talent and leadership technology initiatives focused on scalable systems for organizational growth and leadership development.

Her professional experience further includes leadership roles at GroupM, Bloomberg L.P., and Standard Chartered, where she worked on talent strategy, leadership development, and enterprise transformation initiatives across global markets.

She began her career with The Coca-Cola Company, building a strong foundation in HR leadership and business partnering.

Ruchika holds an MBA in Human Resources from XLRI Xavier School of Management.
