Indian users are now getting access to Meta’s latest generative AI model, Muse Spark, after its earlier launch in limited global regions. The advanced large language model has been introduced to upgrade the capabilities of the Meta AI app and replace the older Llama-based system.

The company said Muse Spark is designed to handle complex tasks more efficiently while improving the overall conversational experience for users.

With the new AI model, users can interact with Meta AI using more natural voice conversations, including pauses similar to human discussions. The system also supports multilingual switching during conversations, allowing users to move between different languages while asking questions, checking news updates or getting cricket match scores.

Meta said Muse Spark can also improve image generation features and provide recommendations pulled from Reels, maps and other services integrated into the platform.

The updated Meta AI app now supports Live AI, a feature that allows users to point their smartphone camera at objects or surroundings and ask questions in real time. The company has also introduced a shopping feature that combines listings from Facebook Marketplace with products available across the internet, enabling purchases directly through the Meta AI app.

Beyond smartphones, Meta confirmed that Muse Spark has also expanded to its smart AI glasses ecosystem.

At present, only the voice conversation feature is available for users in India through the standalone Meta AI app. Meta said additional features, including Live AI and shopping capabilities, will be introduced later this year.

The company also plans to expand the Muse Spark model to Meta AI integrations across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Messenger in the near future.

The rollout reflects Meta’s growing focus on AI-powered user experiences across its apps, devices and digital services.
