Ross joins the organization with significant experience across listed companies and international markets, bringing expertise in finance, operations, commercial strategy, and global business management. The company said his leadership background across major international organizations will help reinforce Melrose Industries PLC’s position as a leading aerospace technology business.
Before joining Melrose Industries PLC, Ross spent nearly 10 years at Intertek Group plc in multiple senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President – Europe, Middle East, Africa and Government & Trade Services, where he oversaw regional operations and strategic business initiatives across several global markets.
Earlier at Intertek, he held the role of Executive Vice President – Europe & Central Asia, contributing to regional growth, operational leadership, and commercial strategy execution over diverse international businesses.
He also served as Group Chief Financial Officer at Intertek, leading the company’s global finance strategy, governance, reporting, and operational performance initiatives. Prior to that, Ross worked as Group Financial Controller, building strong expertise in financial leadership and corporate governance.
Before Intertek, he spent more than 5 years with Inchcape plc in senior finance leadership positions. As Australasia Finance Director, he supported regional operations and business performance across the Australasian market. Earlier, as UK Finance Director, he contributed to financial management and operational leadership within the company’s UK business.
Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking and corporate finance at Greenhill & Co. as Vice President after serving as Associate at Gleacher Shacklock. He began his professional career at JPMorganChase as a Telecoms Equity Research Analyst.
With this appointment, Melrose Industries PLC continues to strengthen its leadership team while focusing on long-term aerospace innovation, operational growth, and global business expansion through GKN Aerospace.
