Strengthening its presence in India, MediaTek has launched its second research and development centre in Noida. The move highlights the growing importance of India as a hub for global technology innovation.
The new facility is located at BPTP Capital City in Sector 94 and spans over 1,04,000 square feet. The expansion comes with a lease valued at around ₹1.44 billion, reflecting the rising interest of global tech firms in Noida’s modern infrastructure and skilled workforce.
Manik Malik, CEO and President of BPTP, said the deal highlights increasing demand from international technology companies for premium commercial spaces in the NCR region.
The new centre will work alongside MediaTek’s Bengaluru facility to boost innovation and expand the company’s team in India. A company spokesperson said India “continues to be a key market for MediaTek’s innovation and engineering capabilities.”
This R&D facility is part of MediaTek’s broader strategy to strengthen its talent base and enhance research capabilities in the country. The centre is already operational, marking a significant step in the company’s India growth plans.
BPTP Capital City is a Grade-A commercial development offering around 780,000 square feet of office and mixed-use space.
