Ms. Hoots previously served as Chief Digital Officer and CIO at AstraZeneca PLC and brings extensive experience in digital transformation, enterprise modernization, technology strategy, cybersecurity, AI, risk management, and organizational effectiveness across global multibillion-dollar companies.
She also has strong experience in the consumer packaged goods sector, particularly in consumer-driven innovation initiatives. Before joining AstraZeneca, Ms. Hoots served as Global Vice President, Technology at Unilever. She has also held IT and business leadership roles at BAT p.l.c., SABMiller, ITT Inc., and Mars Incorporated.
Apart from her executive leadership background, Ms. Hoots currently serves on the Board of Directors of Zoom Communications, Inc., advises startups, and is a member of BP’s Digital Advisory Council. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from DeVry Institute of Technology.

The appointment is part of McCormick’s ongoing board refreshment process, aimed at maintaining a balanced mix of skills, experience, and perspectives aligned with the company’s strategic priorities and governance practices. Following this appointment, McCormick’s Board of Directors will consist of 12 directors, including 11 independent directors.
