Delnaz Desai takes charge of Mahindra Group’s enterprise talent strategy

Mahindra Group has strengthened its talent leadership with the appointment of Delnaz Desai as Vice President – Group Talent Head. She will lead the enterprise talent management agenda across the Group.

In her new role, Delnaz will focus on employer branding, talent attraction, retention, development, leadership capability and building the talent ecosystem needed to support growth across Mahindra’s diverse businesses.

Delnaz brings around 20 years of experience in human resources and talent leadership. Her expertise spans talent management, HR business partnering, leadership development, succession planning, organisational effectiveness, culture and employee engagement.

Before joining Mahindra Group, she served as Talent Lead & HR Business Partner, AMEA Snacks (Pringles) at Kellanova in Singapore. She worked with the regional leadership team on talent, leadership capability, culture and engagement, while also leading region-wide capability-building and talent acquisition excellence initiatives.

Her career with Kellanova and Kellogg Company included several senior HR roles. At Kellogg Company, she served as Senior Associate Director – Talent & Corporate HR, Associate Director – Corporate HR and Associate Director – Sales HR.

Her responsibilities included corporate HR partnering, strengthening talent acquisition, building succession pipelines, advancing equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and leading leadership development and employee engagement programmes.

Earlier, Delnaz worked with Vodafone Idea Limited as HR Business Partner, Marketing, after spending nearly 3 years with Vodafone as GM – Business HR.

At Vodafone, she led HR for a workforce of around 700 employees and worked across inclusion, capability building, succession planning, managerial development and retention.

Her earlier career included talent and regional HR leadership roles at Maersk Line, where she supported commercial and operations functions across different geographies.

Delnaz began her career with Wipro Technologies as Assistant Manager – Leadership Hiring. She worked on leadership and niche hiring, resourcing and manpower planning for global accounts.

She holds an MBA in Human Resources from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).

Her appointment at Mahindra Group marks the next step in a career focused on enterprise talent strategy and business-led HR leadership.
