Astrid Panosyan-Bouvet returns to AXA to lead global people strategy

AXA has appointed Astrid Panosyan-Bouvet as Group Chief Human Resources Officer (Group CHRO), bringing her corporate, HR and public-policy experience back to the company.

In her new role, Astrid will lead AXA’s global people strategy across talent, culture, diversity, learning and development, and workforce transformation. She will also join the company’s Management Committee.

The appointment marks her return to AXA, where she worked earlier in her career.

Before joining AXA, Astrid served as a Member of the French National Assembly, representing Paris’s 4th constituency from 2022 to August 2026. She also served as France’s Minister of Labour and Employment from September 2024 to October 2025.

During her time in Parliament, she worked on social affairs, employment and skills, corporate social responsibility and ESG-related matters.

Before entering public service, Astrid spent more than 6 years with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield as Director of Central Functions and Member of the Management Board. She oversaw human resources, CSR, organisation, information technology and risk management across 14 countries.

Her HR responsibilities included recruitment, employee engagement, culture, diversity and inclusion, talent and performance management, and leadership development. She also played an important role in organisational integration following the combination of Unibail-Rodamco and Westfield.

Earlier, she spent more than 12 years with Groupama, progressing from Senior Project Manager to General Secretary. Her responsibilities covered legal affairs, public affairs, CSR and corporate governance.

She also served as an adviser at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance and was a member of the Air France-KLM Supervisory Board, where she contributed to its Sustainable Development and Compliance Committee.

Astrid previously worked at AXA as a Project Manager from 1998 to 2001 across Paris and Singapore. Her responsibilities included strategy and Asia-Pacific development, strategic planning, health insurance initiatives and acquisition-related projects.

She began her career at A.T. Kearney, working across insurance, healthcare and retail on strategy, organisation and acquisition assignments.

Her experience across corporate leadership, HR, governance and public policy now comes together in one of AXA’s senior global people leadership roles.
