Lenovo has officially returned to the gaming smartphone segment with the launch of the Legion Y70 (2026) in China during its May 2026 launch event. The smartphone arrives nearly 4 years after the company stepped away from the category and was introduced alongside the new Legion Y900 gaming tablet.

The gaming smartphone features a 6.82-inch 2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 510ppi pixel density, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and peak brightness of up to 7,000 nits. It also carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The device comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. Lenovo claims the handset scored 32,61,888 points on the AnTuTu benchmark platform. For cooling, the smartphone includes the new “Qiankun Ningjin” thermal system with liquid gold and advanced heat-conductive materials.
For photography, the Legion Y70 (2026) features a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and an 8MP ultrawide camera. On the front, the device gets a 32MP selfie camera for video calls and selfies.
One of the major highlights is the 8,000mAh Star Ring Battery with support for 90W wired fast charging and bypass charging. Lenovo claims the battery can maintain performance for up to 7 years. The smartphone weighs around 224g.
