Lenovo introduces AI Glasses V1 with smart translation and teleprompter features

A new wearable device has been introduced to the market, offering users a blend of lightweight design and AI powered functionality. Lenovo has launched the AI Glasses V1 in China at a price of 3,999 yuan which is approximately 562 dollars. Sales will begin on November 9 through an online marketplace.

The Lenovo AI Glasses V1 weigh about 38 grams and use a resin diffraction light waveguide display that reaches up to 2000 nits of peak brightness. The lenses are 1.8 mm thick and feature a 15 by 11 mm eye box range to ensure stable visuals even when the wearer shifts their gaze. Lenovo states that the glasses are designed to reduce pressure on the nose and ears, making them comfortable for daily extended use.

The device includes a dual microphone and dual speaker setup for calling and stereo audio. It comes integrated with Lenovo’s Tianxi intelligent assistant that supports voice commands, real time translation, and information retrieval. The translation capability allows bilingual voice and text communication to appear directly within the user’s field of view.

A teleprompter mode has been added for presenters and content creators. When paired with Lenovo’s smart ring accessory, users can scroll text or switch slides without breaking eye contact with their audience.

Touch controls are located on the temples, allowing users to manage notifications, calls, and on screen content. The glasses also support an AI based navigation system that offers visual and audio guidance, currently compatible only with Android devices. Both monocular and binocular display modes are supported.

Battery life varies by use. The device can run for up to four hours in teleprompter mode, eight to ten hours in translation mode, and around 2.6 hours at maximum brightness and volume. It supports fast charging with a full charge taking around 40 minutes and can stay on standby for up to 250 hours. Connectivity is supported through Bluetooth 5.4.

In another update, Lenovo has also introduced the LOQ Essential gaming laptop powered by a Ryzen processor and RTX 4050 graphics, along with a new 140W 20000mAh Smart Laptop Power Bank in the United States.
