With more than 25 years of experience across project development, execution, engineering, operations and infrastructure management, Sanjay brings extensive expertise in delivering large-scale energy projects and scaling renewable energy assets.
In his new role, he will provide strategic leadership for JSW Energy’s solar business, supporting the development and execution of large-scale solar projects as the company expands its renewable energy footprint across the country.
Before joining JSW Energy, Sanjay served as Vice President – Project Development & Execution at Sembcorp Industries Ltd, where he led the planning and execution of renewable energy projects. His responsibilities included project development, stakeholder management, operational delivery and execution excellence across key initiatives.
Prior to Sembcorp, he spent nearly a decade at Adani Green Energy Ltd as Assistant Vice President – Projects, playing a key role in implementing and delivering large-scale solar and renewable energy projects that contributed to the company’s expansion efforts.
Earlier, Sanjay spent over 10 years with Jindal Power Limited as General Manager – Projects, where he led techno-commercial activities, engineering functions, project management and execution for major thermal power projects.
He began his career with Tata Power Company Limited, working in power plant operations and managing operational activities for large-scale power generation units. This experience helped build a strong foundation in power generation, plant operations and energy infrastructure management.
Over the years, Sanjay has developed expertise in renewable energy development, solar project execution, engineering management, construction leadership, operational excellence and strategic planning. His experience across both conventional and renewable energy sectors brings valuable industry insight to JSW Energy’s growing clean energy business.
His appointment comes at a significant phase in JSW Energy’s growth journey as the company accelerates renewable energy investments and strengthens its position in India’s evolving energy landscape. His leadership and project execution experience are expected to support the company’s long-term renewable energy ambitions.
