With close to 30 years of experience at NEC Corporation, Kurihara has built his career across key Asian markets. In his new role, he will lead strategic planning, business expansion, and corporate governance, while ensuring alignment with NEC Group’s 5-year global strategy.
He will also focus on strengthening relationships with government and enterprise stakeholders, while overseeing operations across India. His mandate includes driving sustainable growth, enhancing long-term value, and reinforcing the Indo-Japan partnership, with India continuing to be a key market in NEC’s global plans. Additionally, he will work on building organisational capabilities by fostering a high-performance culture, developing leadership talent, and advancing workforce initiatives.
Over the past 70 years, NEC India has worked closely with governments and enterprises to deliver technology-led programs across areas such as public safety, AI-driven biometrics, smart cities, enterprise IT, and financial services. Under Kurihara’s leadership, the company aims to further strengthen its position as a trusted technology partner.
Kurihara brings extensive regional experience, having led business growth across markets including the Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Thailand.
