In a move that signals its push into next-gen wearables, Huawei has unveiled its first-ever smart glasses, stepping into direct competition with Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses by Meta.
The newly launched glasses feature a 12MP camera designed for POV video recording and live streaming, powered by Huawei’s in-house chipset. With major players like Apple and Google also expected to enter the smart glasses segment soon, the competition in this space is set to intensify.
Huawei’s smart glasses come equipped with several AI-driven features, including QR code payments, calorie tracking, translation, and voice assistant support. The device offers up to 9 hours of music playback, significantly higher than the 5 hours provided by Meta’s offering.
Weighing just 47 gm, including lenses, the glasses are designed to be lightweight and comfortable for extended use. They will be available in 3 color options and 2 frame styles.
The product is currently open for presale at approximately ₹34,239, with official sales scheduled to begin on April 25.
