Google introduces Gemini-powered AI tools to transform digital advertising in India

Artificial intelligence is becoming a bigger part of digital marketing as Google has introduced a new suite of Gemini-powered advertising solutions for businesses in India. Announced at Google Marketing Live 2026, the latest tools are designed to improve customer engagement, simplify campaign management and help advertisers measure marketing performance more effectively across Search and YouTube.

The new AI-driven solutions focus on customer acquisition, campaign planning, creative development and performance measurement. Google said these features will help businesses automate routine marketing tasks while delivering better customer interactions and improved campaign results.

“Gemini is now the engine accelerating growth for our customers across our ads products as we move beyond marketing automation to marketing intelligence, setting the stage for the agentic era where AI acts as a true strategic growth partner,” said Roma Datta Chobey, Managing Director, Connected Consumer Commerce, Google India.

One of the key launches is Business Agent for Leads, currently available in beta in India. The AI-powered feature enables customers to interact directly with businesses through advertisements by answering questions in real time and qualifying potential leads before they reach sales teams. Google said UpGrad is already testing the solution to improve student lead generation through continuous engagement.

Google also introduced YouTube BrandStack, an advertising platform developed in India that combines campaign planning, media buying and performance measurement into a single solution. Other announcements include AI Max for Shopping, AI Brief, new Demand Gen capabilities, and AI-powered creative and measurement tools that help advertisers maximise first-party data and improve campaign performance.

The company added that its advertising products are evolving beyond automation into AI-powered business assistants capable of providing recommendations across Google Ads, Analytics, and Merchant Center. New Merchant Center features will also help businesses track product performance across Google’s AI-powered search experiences as online discovery becomes increasingly conversational.

With these updates, Google aims to help businesses personalise campaigns, improve customer acquisition and achieve better returns on advertising investments through AI-driven marketing.
