Sonika Pranay joins the quick-commerce company to drive its people strategy as it scales its operations. FirstClub has appointed Sonika Pranay as Head of People & Culture, strengthening its leadership team as the quick-commerce company continues to build its business and organisational capabilities.
Ms Pranay brings more than 15 years of experience in human resources and people leadership, with a career spanning the Flipkart Group and cure.fit. Her previous leadership roles include Director, HR at SuperMoney, HR Head at Cleartrip and Deputy Director, People & Culture at Myntra. In her new role at FirstClub, she will focus on shaping the company’s people strategy, with responsibilities spanning talent, leadership development, organisational culture and building high-performing teams.
The appointment comes at a time when FirstClub is entering its next phase of expansion. The company raised $55 million in Series B funding in June 2026, with Peak XV Partners and Sofina leading the round. FirstClub was founded by Ayyappan R, a former Flipkart executive, and is focused on building a quick-commerce model centred on premium grocery and fresh produce. Pranay’s appointment adds an experienced HR leader to the company’s senior team as it works to scale not only its operations, but also the people and organisational infrastructure required to support that growth.
The move also reflects a broader shift in the quick-commerce sector, where companies are increasingly building senior leadership capabilities across functions as the industry moves from rapid expansion towards more structured and sustainable growth.
