Maple India has appointed Farhan Qureshi as Group Head HR, strengthening its leadership structure as the organisation looks to drive its people and human resources agenda at the group level. Qureshi confirmed his appointment through a LinkedIn update, marking the beginning of his new role at the company.

In his new position, Qureshi will oversee the group’s HR function, with responsibilities spanning people strategy, talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management and organisational development. His mandate will cover Maple India’s broader people priorities and support alignment between workforce initiatives and business objectives.

Qureshi brings more than 13 years of experience in human resources, with a career largely spanning India’s retail sector. His experience includes HR leadership and regional roles at Burgundy Brand Collective, Novel Jewels, part of the Aditya Birla Group, Reliance Retail and Raymond Limited. His work has covered HR operations, talent acquisition, workforce planning and HR business partnering across multiple brands and locations.

His experience in managing people functions across large and distributed retail operations comes as Maple India continues to build its organisational capabilities. The new group-level mandate places Qureshi at the centre of the company’s people strategy, with a focus on strengthening talent practices and supporting workforce development.

The appointment adds to Qureshi’s career in HR leadership and expands his remit from organisation-specific and regional responsibilities to a group-level role at Maple India.
