Dinesh Sharma has joined ClimaCrew Pvt. Ltd. as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), bringing close to 2 decades of experience across the agrochemical, agri-input and agri-technology sectors.
In his new role, he will lead the company’s commercial strategy, market expansion, strategic partnerships and technology-led growth as ClimaCrew expands its solutions across the seaweed and blue-economy value chain.
Sharma joins ClimaCrew from General Aeronautics Pvt. Ltd., where he served as Head of Sales and Marketing. He led the commercialisation of agricultural drone technology and digital platforms across India, developing B2B, B2C and B2G channels, building go-to-market strategies and driving partnerships with government bodies and agrochemical companies.
He also worked on expanding the use of agricultural drones and digital solutions while developing sustainable commercial models for drone operators and rural partners.
Before General Aeronautics, Sharma spent around 15 years with Bayer CropScience, working across India and the wider APAC region. Most recently, he served as Customer Engagement Lead APAC from 2023 to 2024. Earlier, as Grower Connect and Services Lead, he focused on farmer engagement and services.
He also served as Product Manager – Insecticides & Nematicide, overseeing the Lepidoptera and soil-pest portfolio in India.
His career at Bayer included roles such as Senior Regional Manager, Manager – Institutional Business and Institutional Sales Manager. These positions gave him experience across regional sales, institutional business, product management, customer engagement and commercial development.
Sharma began his career with Godrej Agrovet Limited as Assistant Manager before moving to Aadhaar Retailing Ltd., a joint venture between Future Ventures and Godrej Agrovet.
His experience across traditional agri-inputs and emerging technologies, including agricultural drones, digital platforms and farm mechanisation, adds to his commercial leadership mandate at ClimaCrew.
