A seasoned talent acquisition professional, Debasmita brings extensive expertise across leadership hiring, campus recruitment, stakeholder management, recruitment delivery, hiring strategy, and workforce planning.
Prior to this elevation, she was part of Recruitment Delivery & Transformation at KPMG India, where she managed end-to-end recruitment for leadership roles across KPMG India affiliates. She also led innovative hiring initiatives, partnered with business leaders to align talent acquisition with organizational goals, and contributed to improving hiring efficiency and recruitment outcomes.
Before joining KPMG India, Sarkar spent more than 6 years at PwC Acceleration Center India Centers in India. During her tenure, she managed Campus Hiring & University Relations as well as Lateral and Campus Recruitment across Advisory and Assurance service lines. She led volume hiring, leadership hiring, stakeholder management, recruitment compliance, dashboarding, and specialized hiring across domains including Audit & Risk, Data Analytics, Financial Research, Benchmarking, PMO, Robotics, Business Transformation, Transaction Advisory, and Content Development.
Earlier, Debasmita worked as Talent Acquisition Specialist at Wipro, where she managed contract staffing, RPO operations, volume hiring, and technical recruitment across IMS business domains. She also served as Talent Acquisition Consultant at Zedpoint Management Services Pvt. Ltd., handling end-to-end recruitment and niche talent sourcing.
Debasmita Sarkar began her professional journey as an Intern at ITC Ltd PSPD, where she contributed to recruitment process improvement and workforce analysis initiatives.
With extensive experience in recruitment strategy, leadership hiring, talent transformation, and stakeholder management, she is well positioned to strengthen KPMG India’s talent acquisition initiatives and support its growth objectives.
