Raskin brings more than 25 years of enterprise marketing leadership experience and will lead Virtana’s global marketing strategy, brand development, and demand generation efforts.
“Daniel brings a rare combination of founder instinct, enterprise marketing leadership, and product operating experience,” said Paul Appleby, CEO of Virtana. “He has built and scaled marketing functions in some of the most demanding categories in enterprise technology, while directly shaping product strategy and growth. That combination is essential at this stage. As Virtana enters a period of accelerating market opportunity, his ability to translate complex, AI-driven infrastructure into clear, outcome-focused narratives will sharpen our market position and strengthen how we communicate value to customers, partners, and investors.”
Most recently, Raskin co-founded Mperativ, a venture-backed company focused on applying agentic AI to go-to-market data and marketing attribution. Following Mperativ’s acquisition by Lative, he joins Virtana to support the company’s next phase of growth.
Before Mperativ, Raskin held senior leadership positions at Sun Microsystems, McGraw-Hill, ForgeRock, and Kinetica. At ForgeRock, he led both marketing and product functions, joining when the company had $4M in ACV and helping scale the business through a period of rapid growth before its public market debut at a $3B valuation. His experience spans enterprise middleware, identity and access management, cloud technologies, and AI-powered data platforms.
“Virtana is addressing one of the defining infrastructure challenges of this decade,” said Raskin. “As organizations forge into the AI era, applications have become distributed systems and AI workloads are proliferating rapidly, making observability the central control point for visibility, governance, and resilience at scale. Legacy application monitoring solutions cannot keep pace. Virtana delivers end-to-end observability with the data and context required to power agentic AI, enabling smarter automation, stronger resilience, and disciplined performance as enterprises scale AI.”
Raskin joins Virtana as the company expands its presence in AI and hybrid cloud observability. Recent developments include the launch of its System-Aware MCP Server, AI-Native Application Observability, expanded AI Factory Observability capabilities, and research showing that 75% of enterprises report double-digit AI failure rates due to fragmented observability. The company was also recently recognized as Best Hybrid Cloud Solution by a cloud industry awards program.
