Shashank Bajpai has taken on a new role as Senior Director of Cybersecurity at DAMAC Digital, where he will lead the cybersecurity function as Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the conglomerate’s AI and cloud business. His expertise spans cybersecurity, cloud security, risk governance, incident management and information security.
Before joining DAMAC Digital, Bajpai served as Head of Cybersecurity at Yotta Data Services Private Limited, holding the position of Vice President – IT Operations and Engineering. He led cybersecurity implementation, delivery and operations, managed technology risk across technical functions, and oversaw cybersecurity governance and compliance.
At Yotta, he also led security specialists and architects responsible for cloud security, identity security and data security. His responsibilities included heading the Cyber Security Operations Centre (C-SOC), which supported domestic and international customers.
Bajpai also held leadership responsibilities as Head of Cybersecurity and Interim CISO, overseeing cybersecurity operations, engineering, delivery and technology risk management. He led teams responsible for 24/7 cyber operations, information security management systems (ISMS), business continuity management systems (BCMS), regulatory compliance and risk assessments.
In his role as Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Technology Security Officer (CTSO) at Yotta, Bajpai led cybersecurity initiatives to strengthen governance and compliance across the organisation. His work included developing secure architecture and deployment strategies for data centres, cloud and AI environments, conducting technology audits, advising on security improvements and driving cybersecurity awareness and training programmes.
With experience in cybersecurity operations, cloud and AI security, enterprise risk management and security governance, Bajpai’s appointment comes as DAMAC Digital strengthens its leadership for cybersecurity across its AI and cloud business.
