Big Watt Digital is pleased to announce the appointment of Preeti Viswanathan as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), strengthening the company’s leadership team as it advances its ambitions across digital infrastructure, data centers, and AI-driven growth.
Preeti brings more than two decades of experience in finance and business leadership, including 12 years at Amazon and Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she held senior finance leadership positions across some of the company’s largest and fastest-growing businesses. Her appointment brings deep expertise in capital strategy, financial planning, infrastructure investment, and the financial frameworks required to scale complex, capital-intensive operations.
Most recently, Preeti served as Senior Finance Director for AWS Infrastructure, where she helped shape the financial strategy underpinning Amazon’s global infrastructure investments during a period of rapid expansion in cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Her remit spanned more than $150 billion in annual capital investment across data centers, power and energy, networking, supply chain, and custom silicon.
Her experience reflects the growing strategic importance of finance in an environment where technological innovation, infrastructure development, and access to capital are increasingly interconnected. As demand for computing capacity accelerates, disciplined capital allocation, long-term investment planning, and operational efficiency are becoming critical to building and scaling digital infrastructure.
Throughout her career, Preeti has partnered with senior leadership teams on complex capital allocation and strategic decisions, built and led global finance organizations, and developed investment frameworks and operating mechanisms to support large-scale capital deployment. Her experience navigating the financial and operational complexities of global technology infrastructure will be valuable as Big Watt Digital pursues its long-term growth objectives.
In her role as CFO, Preeti will lead Big Watt Digital’s financial strategy and finance organization. She will work closely with the leadership team and Board on capital strategy and allocation, financing, business performance, and the development of financial capabilities needed to support sustainable growth. Her mandate will also include strengthening the financial discipline and operating foundations required to execute the company’s long-term ambitions.
Her appointment comes at a time when the convergence of AI, cloud computing, data center development, and energy infrastructure is reshaping investment priorities across the technology sector. Building the infrastructure needed to support this transformation requires not only technical and operational expertise, but also sophisticated financial planning and a long-term approach to capital deployment.
Preeti’s experience at the intersection of technology, infrastructure, and finance positions her to contribute meaningfully to Big Watt Digital’s next chapter. Her leadership will help align financial strategy with the company’s broader business priorities as it works to build the capabilities and infrastructure needed for the evolving digital economy.
