As cybercrime continues to affect people’s finances, safety and well-being, Bell Integration has partnered with The Cyber Helpline to strengthen support for victims of digital fraud and online harm.

The managed cybersecurity services provider is supporting the charity through year-round volunteering and fundraising. The initiative began during Cybersecurity Awareness Month. This October, more than 50 Bell employees are participating in the Cyber Step Challenge, where teams collectively “walk around the world” to raise funds and awareness about the impact of cybercrime.

Rob Forde, Head of Security Services at Bell Integration, said: “Behind every case of cybercrime is a person who may be facing financial loss, distress or threats to their safety. The Cyber Helpline gives people practical guidance when they need it most, helping them to understand what has happened and how to take the necessary steps to regain control.”

The partnership comes amid the continuing impact of cybercrime across the UK. Around 1 in 7 adults become victims each year, while individuals lost an estimated £7 billion last year.

Since 2018, The Cyber Helpline has provided direct assistance to more than 100,000 people affected by cybercrime.

Rory Innes, CEO of The Cyber Helpline, said: “Victims of cybercrime and online harm often see their lives devastated, with nowhere to turn. The Cyber Helpline is here to help them and Bell’s support means we can reach more people, faster.”

Bell Integration is also enabling employees to contribute their time and professional skills to the charity throughout the year. Both organisations are encouraging individuals and businesses to participate in Cybersecurity Awareness Month and help extend support to people affected by cybercrime.
