Audioboom integrates AI for targeted podcast ads

LONDON – Audioboom, a prominent global podcast company, has revealed a collaboration with Sounder to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into Showcase, its worldwide advertising marketplace. This integration aims to improve ad targeting and ensure brand safety for advertisers utilizing the platform.

Showcase will utilize AI to pinpoint specific topics within podcasts, enabling accurate ad placements that resonate with relevant brands. This contextual targeting is designed to enhance value for both advertisers and content creators. Furthermore, the AI will provide insights on brand safety and appropriateness, ensuring that advertising campaigns align with a brand’s values and risk preferences.

The integration is projected to expand, with Sounder’s technology being implemented across more than 8,000 podcasts, resulting in over 10 billion impressions available through Showcase this year. Following a remarkable revenue increase of over 56% in 2024 for Showcase, the introduction of AI capabilities is expected to further accelerate the growth of Audioboom’s automated marketplace.

Stuart Last, CEO of Audioboom, expressed excitement about the partnership, noting that the synergy between Showcase and Sounder will deliver significant benefits to their advertisers and podcast creators. He emphasized that AI is set to greatly enhance their platform in the coming years, addressing the sophisticated demands of their global blue-chip brand partners.

This initiative highlights Audioboom’s dedication to enhancing its ad-tech and monetization platform, which supports a content business that offers commercial, distribution, marketing, and production services for a network of premium podcasts, including collaborations with well-known shows like ’F1: Beyond the Grid’, ’True Crime Obsessed’, and ’The Tim Dillon Show’.

Audioboom operates across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, delivering content through platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon Music. It is acknowledged as the fourth largest podcast publisher in the US, as reported by Triton Digital. This initiative stems from a press release and highlights Audioboom’s commitment to improving its advertising capabilities in the fast-changing podcast landscape.
