Based in Minneapolis, Buetow will oversee private banking operations across Minnesota, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison, Wisconsin. She will report to Jayne Hladio, Executive Vice President and President of Associated Bank Private Wealth.
Buetow brings over 25 years of experience across investment banking, corporate banking, and private wealth. Most recently, she served as Managing Director and Private Wealth Banking Manager at Wells Fargo, where she led banking and lending teams across 11 states in the central U.S. and partnered with more than 1,000 advisors to serve high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
Earlier, she held senior leadership roles at Abbot Downing, overseeing professionals delivering custom lending, cash management, and deposit services nationwide, while advancing enterprise initiatives. Her expertise spans wealth advisory, credit structuring, risk management, and multi-market leadership.

The appointment aligns with Associated Bank’s strategy to strengthen leadership in major metropolitan markets, enhance local capabilities, and attract top talent. Buetow will work alongside Stacy Stecker, Director of Metro Banking, supporting growth across key markets.

Buetow holds a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and is based at the IDS Center in Minneapolis.
