ArcelorMittal deepens Microsoft partnership to accelerate cloud transformation

ArcelorMittal has expanded its partnership with Microsoft as part of its “Cloud First, Data Centric” strategy, aiming to accelerate digital transformation by using Azure as its primary cloud computing platform.

The steel manufacturer will integrate Microsoft Fabric, Purview, and Foundry to modernise its technology infrastructure, enhance cybersecurity capabilities, and reduce dependence on legacy systems.

The expanded collaboration is focused on improving data management, strengthening digital operations, and building a more agile IT environment to support the company’s business needs. The financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Through this initiative, ArcelorMittal aims to leverage cloud technologies to create a more data-driven organisation while improving efficiency and security across its technology ecosystem.
