Nicole Bonanno joins American Airlines leadership team to head talent and performance management

Nicole will also be part of the company’s People Leadership Team, supporting talent strategy, leadership capability, and workforce performance initiatives across the organisation.

Nicole joins the global aviation company with more than 20 years of experience in talent management, leadership development, organisational transformation, employee engagement, learning and development, and culture transformation.

Before joining American Airlines, she worked as Leadership Coach & Change Management Consultant at Cultiv8 Transformation Consulting & Coaching. In this role, she advised organisations and senior leaders on leadership coaching, organisational development, executive capability building, change management, and culture transformation initiatives.

Most recently, she also served as Director, Talent and Engagement at Memorial Hermann Health System, where she led talent management and employee engagement programs. Her responsibilities included strengthening leadership capability, talent development strategies, and organisational culture initiatives.

Earlier, Nicole was Vice President of Learning and Development at MINT dentistry, where she led enterprise-wide learning strategies and developed leadership programs, coaching frameworks, and modern learning systems focused on organisational growth and employee capability enhancement.

A major part of her professional journey was spent at Bell Flight, where she held several leadership positions over more than 20 years. As Senior Director of Talent Management, she led Culture, Experience & Inclusion initiatives and expanded talent management and diversity programs across the organisation.

Nicole also served at Bell Flight as Director of Talent Management and Professional Training & Development Manager, leading mentorship redesign initiatives, high-potential programs, leadership development strategies, employee engagement transformation, and enterprise learning initiatives.

Throughout her career, Nicole has built strong expertise in leadership coaching, organisational development, employee engagement, executive coaching, talent management, and enterprise learning strategy.
