Amazon Now set for nationwide expansion with faster deliveries and farmer partnerships

In a major push to strengthen its quick commerce presence, Amazon India is set to expand its ‘Amazon Now’ service to 100 cities. This growth will be supported by more than 1,000 micro-fulfillment centers, aimed at speeding up deliveries of daily essentials.

The service is already operational in cities like Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, and is now being rolled out in Kochi, Amritsar, and Mangalore. The focus is to deliver groceries and essential items within minutes, enhancing convenience for users.

As part of this expansion, Amazon is partnering with more than 16,000 farmers to supply fresh produce directly. The platform will offer a curated range of everyday essentials, including groceries and personal care products, ensuring fast and reliable delivery.

Prime members will benefit from unlimited free deliveries under this service, making frequent small purchases easier and more accessible.

This initiative is backed by Amazon’s investment of over ₹2,800 crore in infrastructure and workforce development. The move is aimed at scaling operations while keeping pace with the rapid growth of quick commerce in India.
