US-based artificial intelligence startup Anthropic announced plans to expand its footprint across Europe by opening new offices in Paris and Munich.
This development is part of Anthropic’s broader global expansion strategy, as the company aims to triple its international workforce to meet growing demand for its Claude AI large language models outside the United States.
Founded in 2021 by a group of former OpenAI employees, the San Francisco-headquartered company is backed by major investors including Google-parent Alphabet and Amazon. Anthropic was most recently valued at $183 billion.
The company already operates offices in London, Dublin, and Zurich, and last year tripled its employee base in Europe.
“EMEA has become our fastest-growing region, with a run-rate revenue that has grown more than 9 times in the past year,” Anthropic said in a statement.
The company also highlighted that its expanding European team will cover all areas of its business, including research, engineering, sales, and operations.
Anthropic’s European clients include major global brands such as L’Oreal, BMW, SAP, Lovable, and N26.
The expansion marks another step in Anthropic’s ambition to strengthen its presence in key international markets and support growing enterprise adoption of its Claude AI models across industries.
