Inter IKEA Group has announced that Jakub Jankowski, currently Managing Director of IKEA Industry, will take over as Chief Executive Officer on 1 January 2026, succeeding Jon Abrahamsson Ring.
Jon Abrahamsson Ring, who has been with company for 20 years, including leading the IKEA Franchisor since 2018 and serving as CEO of Inter IKEA Group since 2020, will step down after guiding the company through global disruptions and major transformations. He began his career at IKEA Örebro and has held leadership roles in Canada, China, the Netherlands, and Sweden, including as assistant to company founder Ingvar Kamprad.
Anders Dahlvig, chairman of Inter IKEA Holding B.V., said, “Big thanks to Jon for all his contributions to company and for successfully leading the business through a period of global disruptions and big transformation. Jakub Jankowski is an experienced and value-based leader with a great understanding of the value chain, and I am very happy that he has accepted to take the role as new CEO of Inter IKEA Group.”
Reflecting on his tenure, Jon Abrahamsson Ring stated, “I am happy and grateful for my long journey and proud of what we have accomplished together. IKEA stands strong with a clear direction and good momentum, and the timing is now right to hand over.”
Jakub Jankowski joined Inter IKEA in Poland in 2001 and has held leadership positions in Romania, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Sweden. He has served as store manager, CEO assistant, category area manager, and deputy trading area manager before leading IKEA Industry.
