Thirumala Arohi Appointed as Chief Learning Officer at Cognizant

Cognizant has announced the appointment of Thirumala (Thiru) Arohi as its Chief Learning Officer. He will report to Kathy Diaz, Chief People Officer. This step highlights the company’s commitment to upskilling, enterprise learning, and workforce transformation in the fast-changing AI era.

Arohi brings with him more than three decades of experience in learning and talent development. Before joining Cognizant, he served as Executive Vice President and Head of Education, Training and Assessment, and Learning Platforms at Infosys. Arohi is recognised for building scalable learning systems and driving digital learning innovation by combining practical delivery with strong business-focused learning strategies.

In his new role, Arohi will lead the global learning function at Cognizant. His focus will be on redesigning programmes and platforms, exploring new upskilling models, and forming strategic partnerships to strengthen employee skills. Industry experts observe that his appointment reflects Cognizant’s determination to enhance talent pipelines, accelerate reskilling, and prepare its workforce for the future of work as AI adoption continues to grow.
